AUV Imaging System

The AUV Imaging System is a serial-controlled subsea imaging system for autonomous underwater vehicles. A titanium camera housing captures stills and video, with onboard storage sized for field deployments. The AUV Imaging System is also compatible with the Laser Strobe Module.

The host vehicle commands capture, exposure, and shutdown over RS-232. When the web interface is enabled, operators can view a live stream, configure the camera, and download recorded files over Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Stills are saved as JPEG, PNG, or raw DNG, and video is recorded as H.264 MP4 to the internal solid-state drive.

  • RS-232 control from the host vehicle
  • Web interface for live view, configuration, and file download
  • Titanium camera housing

  • JPEG, PNG, and raw DNG stills
  • Global-shutter monochrome or 12MP color sensor
  • 2TB solid-state storage
  • Wi-Fi and Ethernet alongside serial
  • Camera power draw of 2-3W
