ROCS: Remotely Operated Core Sampler

The Remotely Operated Core Sampler (ROCS) is a compact subsea core drill designed to be mounted on and powered by a work-class ROV or other large hydraulically driven subsea asset. This bolt-on system transforms any suitable platform into a highly portable and efficient deep-sea core drilling unit.

ROCS has been deployed worldwide with a proven record in sampling missions across the globe. It has been key in the exploration of cobalt-rich ferromanganese crusts, seafloor massive sulfides, and other seabed mineral deposits.

Capable of recovering core samples 70-100mm in diameter and up to 1000mm in length, the ROCS system can be configured as a lightweight single-core unit or as a multi-core system with capacity for up to four cores per deployment. Its modular design, multi-tool magazine, and range of tooling options deliver exceptional flexibility and time savings for deep-sea exploration operations.
